Grow a backbone t-shirts

I created the Grow A Backbone T-shirt with a clear message in mind — stand up for what you believe in and don't be easily swayed by other's opinions. Grow A Backbone. It was a life lesson I was able to translate into my art and I found that many resonated with this message. Hence, the shirt was born.

I love this shirt because I was involved end-to-end. From coming up with the design, marketing it, and even delivering some orders to friends’ doorstep. I enjoyed the process throughly.

I carved into a rubber block to create a brand stamp, as I felt I needed to add a more personal, intimate touch to these shirts. I also boothed at SIM-UB’s Spring Fair 2025, selling the GAB shirts, stickers and prints.

MARKETING — As this was a small batch, personal project, I marketed my shirts through my Instagram page – showing mock-ups and a modelled version. I relied heavily on posting on my own channels and through word-of-mouth.
